Bluerock Projects has reached significant construction milestones following earlier successful progress for the Tuohy Garden Apartments Build to Rent development in the Midland urban renewal precinct.
Recognised as Western Australia’s largest timber-frame Build to Rent scheme, the development is advancing steadily, with structural timber for Level 2 installed, internal wall construction underway, and electrical and plumbing pre-lays commenced.
Due to complete in early 2026, the scheme will comprise 51 affordable rental homes alongside 650 sqm of commercial space at the ground level.
The development has been designed with sustainability at its core, aiming for a 6-star NABERS Energy Rating.
Key sustainability features include solar panels, a smart metering system, and batteries powered by Powerledger’s Artificial Intelligence technology to optimise energy use and reduce living costs for residents.
The Tuohy Garden Apartments are part of the broader urban renewal program led by DevelopmentWA in collaboration with the State Government and local councils.
Since 2000, this program has focused on revitalising Midland as a gateway to the Swan Valley and Perth Hills, driving significant transformation in the city centre.
