The 51-apartment timber Build to Rent project Tuohy Garden Apartments is moving ahead in Perth. The scheme will boost the long-term housing supply for Western Australia.
The Midland town centre, where the apartment site is being developed, is an urban renewal program within walking distance of the future Midland Metronet station and in the heart of Midland.
Billed as one of the most significant private developments in the suburb’s history, Tuohy Garden Apartments will be Western Australia’s largest timber frame apartment complex.
Located on a gateway site in the heart of Midland, the project will be delivered and constructed by Bluerock Projects. With a design that pays homage to the site’s unique history, Tuohy Gardens will become home to 51 residences and will form a dedicated Built to Rent portfolio.
The first residents are expected to be welcomed towards the end of 2025. The development will also incorporate 650sqm of ground floor commercial space.
A month ago, Bluerock Projects also welcomed the Premier Roger Cook and Minister John Carey MLA to the site, to showcase the affordable Build to Rent development.

Last year, Bluerock Projects purchased the key land within Midland’s high-profile urban renewal precinct from DevelopmentWA. They are acting as the landlord and developer of the site.
