With nearly 15,000 apartments already in Melbourne’s Build to Rent pipeline and several new projects set to open their doors in 2024, the city has cemented its status as the nation’s Build to Rent capital.
However, with rental availability at an all-time low, there is a need to continue accelerating the growth of this important sector to meet growing demand.
This is one of many of the important topics that the Property Council’s 2024 Build to Rent Outlook will delve into.
Featuring key speakers such as Hines Australia Pty Ltd’s Sam Bisla, who will provide an opening keynote, the discussions will explore what the Melbourne market can learn from global Build to Rent developments, what the remaining barriers to growth are, and how increased supply and competition will disrupt the sector.
The panellist who will be in discussions and not to be missed at this year’s outlook are: Super Housing Partnership’s Carolyn Viney, Local’s Jennie Fojtik, ADP Consulting’s John Vollugi and Sentinel’s Keith Lucas, who will be joined by Moderator Rober Papaleo, National Director, Capital Markets Residential at Colliers.
The Property Council’s 2024 Build to Rent Outlook takes place on 20 February 2024 between 12.00 to 14.30 AEDT at Zinc at Federation Square/Cnr Princes Walk & Russell St, Melbourne, VIC 3000. Tickets start from $230.00.
