Lendlease partners with Paralympics Australia

Lendlease has offered warehouse space to Paralympics Australia to fulfil its need for a warehousing solution for the upcoming Games, and to support Australia’s athletes.

Build to Rent developer Lendlease has partnered with Paralympics Australia as its official warehouse provider for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

The partnership will see Paralympics Australia use a Lendlease logistics facility to store equipment and merchandise that will support over 170 athletes taking part in this year’s Games.

“At this critical stage of our preparation for Paris 2024, we’re doing everything we can to produce an optimal performance environment for Australia’s Paralympians so they can reach their potential on the world stage when it matters most. The facility provided by Lendlease has given our preparation a huge boost and will assist Paralympics Australia to plan, manage and deliver a successful Australian Paralympic Team to Paris and home again later this year.”

Conveniently located within a core logistics area in Sydney’s Central West, the c.1,300 sqm warehouse is well positioned to offer fulfilment and last mile distribution in the lead up to one of the world’s largest sporting events.

The Lendlease-managed Australian Prime Property Fund Industrial acquired the 3.2 ha site in 2018 with plans to redevelop the asset in the future.

“Our partnership with Paralympics Australia provides an important warehousing solution with plenty of space for picking and packing, and access to fast and efficient supply chains, which will be critical in the lead up to the Paris Games. Creating communities that thrive is at the heart of what we do, and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to support the next generation of Paralympians through this partnership.”

Active in the Australian Build to Rent sector, Lendlease recently announced that it had secured approval for its Gurrowa Place scheme, which will transform the southern site of the Queen Victoria Market (QVM) precinct.

Construction is also underway at Lendlease and Daiwa House’s Melbourne Quarter Build to Rent development, which is expected to complete in early 2026.

The developer also broke ground at its Exhibition Quarter scheme last year. Lendlease will be acting as development and investment manager alongside joint venture partner and scheme co-owner QuadReal.
