Plus Architecture appoints Mark Ojascastro as a Principal at the practice’s Sydney studio. Mark’s appointment is set to spearhead the firm’s co-design approach, whilst bolstering its service offering.
By assembling and leading expert design teams that actively engage clients and end-users, the studio crafts spaces that aim to harmoniously blend beauty and practicality. As an award-winning design practitioner, Mark is committed to leading and nurturing project teams to best harness and apply their expertise.
“I’m delighted to have joined the team at Plus Architecture. With a goal to continue to create award-winning buildings that meet and exceed the needs of their end-users, we are committed to continually elevating the quality of our designs. Through harnessing additional design expertise at the outset of our projects, as well as embedding feedback loops with clients, we ensure our designs are innovative and reflect our collective evolving vision.”
Mark Ojascastro, Interior Designer and Principal, Plus Architecture

Mark joins Plus Architecture following twelve years as an Associate Director at Bates Smart, where he worked on projects across Australia spanning residential, commercial, public and education sectors.
In his new role at Plus Architecture – which will see him working across a number of Build to Bent projects – Mark will reinforce and expand the studio’s integrated design offering to current and prospective clients.

With a passion for strategically assembling and leading design teams, he will ensure that the right experts are brought on board at the right time. From consultants on signage, to graphics and lighting, Mark believes that involving these experts in the early project stages results in far better outcomes for the end-users.
Expanding three-fold in size in the past three years, Mark joins Plus Architecture’s Sydney studio at a time of significant growth. With experience working on numerous AIA Award-winning projects in his previous role, Mark is already applying his design expertise and leadership skills to projects across the studio’s growing portfolio.
“With a growing portfolio of projects across a range of sectors in Sydney and beyond, Mark will play a pivotal role in delivering our industry-leading integrated design services to clients. Leading the studio’s interior design division, Mark will be working to identify strategic opportunities to both grow and mentor the team, where his extensive experience in the sector will be invaluable.”
