Australian Build to Rent provider HOME is nurturing Australian and Indigenous artists through its Art Collection at the HOME Docklands development, which opened its doors to residents late last year.
HOME Docklands includes 676 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments split across two towers of 30 and 31-storeys.
Designed in collaboration with award-winning architectural firm Cox Architecture, amenities at HOME Docklands includes a 25-metre pool, infrared sauna, communal spaces, a gym, spin and Pilates studio, and a dedicated resident services team.
Located directly adjacent to Marvel Stadium at 685 La Trobe Street and minutes away from Mebourne’s CBD, the scheme has recently been transformed into a living gallery as part of a curatorial collaboration with Craft.
The collection includes works from Carissa Karamarko, Drez, Eamon Donnelly, Grace Wood, Huseyin Sami, Jordy Hewitt, Lilli Waters, Ryan Hoffmann and Zachariaha Fielding.
HOME has also made a significant contribution to the many public artworks that surround the HOME Docklands towers, including large scale sculptural works by Jamie North, Vipoo Srivilasa, Alexander Knox and a light installation work by Meagan Streader.
This curated art program reflects HOME’s commitment to creating communities that celebrate Australian art and design.
With Craft’s help, HOME is aiming for each of its Build to Rent developments – both existing and in the pipeline – to house a unique collection of contemporary Australian works.
