Coronation Property wins another award for Mason & Main BTR

Coronation Property wins the 2024 Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Award for Mason & Main, Stage One.

Leading developer and builder – Coronation Property – has won the coveted Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Award for its $350m mixed-use development, Mason & Main, in Merrylands.

The award, in the Build to Rent Development category, recognises excellence across the entire property development process.

The award was judged on a range of criteria including commercial success, benefits to the community, environment, innovation, lifecycle planning, problem-solving, third-party stakeholder management, urban design and architectural merit.

The owner of Coronation Property said as a fully integrated business, it is well positioned to deliver excellence across each stage of the property life cycle.

“We are thrilled to win the Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Award for Mason & Main Stage One. Coronation is committed to shaping the future of the communities in which we operate, ensuring quality delivery and strong placemaking outcomes.

“Coronation would like to thank Woods Bagot, 360 Degrees Landscape Architecture and all of our other collaborators who came together to successfully deliver Mason & Main Stage One, for the benefit of our residents and the wider Western Sydney community.”

Joe Nahas, Owner, Coronation Property

Located in Merrylands and completed in early 2024, Mason & Main Stage One is a vibrant mixed-use destination.

The 434 Build to Rent apartments are spread across three buildings and includes retail and an activated ‘Eat Street’, where residents and the wider community can gather.

Throughout the project’s design conception and delivery, Coronation Property worked closely with architects Woods Bagot to ensure an integrated approach in bringing the vision to life.

Woods Bagot’s design considered the local market and materiality of the construction. This drew inspiration from the nearby brickworks and aqueduct – applying a contemporary lens to the area’s rich heritage. This resulted in a premium new residential and lifestyle offering, not previously seen in the area.

The developer’s collaboration with Cumberland City Council, the State Government of NSW, and the broader community resulted in a development that has transformed the area into a dynamic and exciting lifestyle destination.

This news follows the company’s recent award announcement, achieving the Australian Institute of Building NSW Professional Excellence Award.
