Developer Assemble has topped out at its Build to Rent development at 402 Macaulay Road in Kensington. The scheme comprises 362-apartments.
Whilst construction commenced in late 2023, it has recently been award funding by Housing Australia under its Housing Australia Future Fund Facility which enables Assemble to increase the number of social and affordable homes that it is delivering.

The development features a diverse range of rental homes that are urgently needed in the current system, including affordable, social, market and specialist disability housing.
“402 Macaulay Road is proof of what’s possible when impact-driven investors, Government, and community housing providers come together to create homes that work better for people and meet their housing needs.
“Topping out at 402 Macaulay Road marks a proud moment, driven by the strength of our partnerships across the public and private sectors.”
Kris Daff, Managing Director, Assemble
Assemble has thanked its project partners for working towards the milestone, including HESTA, ANZ, Treasury Corporation of Victoria, Housing Choices Australia, Aboriginal Housing Victoria, and builder partner Hacer Group.
