NSW Government’s developer Landcom has topped out at its Build to Rent scheme in East Lismore. Works to complete the scheme have progressed rapidly, with major construction works set to finish by late this year, with the finished touches expected to be finished in early 2027, weather permitting.
When complete, the Crawford and Military Road site will deliver 50 one-, two-, and three-bedroom Build to Rent apartments. 20% of the homes are reserved as affordable rental housing for residents on low-to-moderate incomes.

The scheme is set to be flood-resilient, as it has been built safely above the flood zone to offer long-term stability and security for residents. Landcom will retain ownership of the properties, with a dedicated operator to be appointed by the end of the year to manage the homes.
Situated close to local shops, schools, Southern Cross University, and parklands, the site sits next to the NSW Reconstruction Authority land at Crawford Road, which will also be redeveloped by Landcom to deliver over 500 additional new homes for the East Lismore community.
