The Living Company continues to expand its diversified living platform with major milestones across its later living and co-living portfolios. Development approval has been achieved for its latest co-living scheme in Waterloo, Sydney for Scape, which will deliver 283 self-contained studio apartments accommodating up to 333 residents in one of Australia’s fastest growing urban renewal precincts.
Nearby in Zetland, construction has also commenced at the Zetland Parkside Build to Rent development, which is scheduled to open in January 2029. In Brisbane, work is now underway on new stages of retirement community operator Aveo’s Parkside Carindale and Robertson Park masterplanned communities, representing a combined $150m investment in a new generation of seniors living across the city’s southside.
Combined, the schemes demonstrate The Living Company’s continued evolution across Build to Rent, co-living, later living and purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA).

The retirement living developments mark the next phase of growth for Aveo’s established Parkside Carindale and Robertson Park communities. At Parkside Carindale, stage four will deliver an additional 94 independent living apartments, shared community spaces and secure parking across nine levels.
Once complete, the scheme will comprise 402 independent living apartments for older Australians seeking accessible homes close to family, services and amenities. At Robertson Park, stage three will add 38 one-, two- and three-bedroom independent living apartments across four levels, further strengthening retirement living options in Brisbane’s southeast.

Meanwhile in Sydney, The Living Company’s newly approved Waterloo co-living development will provide a professionally managed housing solution tailored to a growing population seeking flexible, community-oriented living in well-connected urban locations.
The seven storey, all-electric development at 224–234 Young Street will feature extensive communal amenities, retail activation and publicly accessible open space, alongside a strong sustainability focus including rooftop solar, rainwater reuse, native landscaping and a targeted 4 Star Green Star Buildings rating.
Designed in partnership with Aboriginal-owned design practice Yerrabingin, the scheme incorporates a comprehensive Connecting with Country framework, acknowledging the Gadigal and Bidjigal Traditional Custodians through landscape design, public art and native planting strategies.
Construction is currently underway at both Parkside Carindale and Robertson Park, while construction of the Waterloo co-living scheme is expected to commence in 2027, with residents anticipated to move in from 2029.
