Plus Architecture makes ten appointments across Australia

The series of new appointments and promotions resemble Plus Architecture’s significant and continued evolution as a major player in holistic masterplanning, architecture and interior design.

Plus Architecture has made ten new appointments across its Australian studios. The appointments strengthen the company’s position across metropolitan and regional markets, building on its 27-year legacy.

“These appointments reflect our commitment to nurturing exceptional talent and delivering outstanding outcomes for our clients.

“By strengthening both the leadership and broader teams across our studios, we’re building capacity to shape places that make a positive impact – addressing a range of critical needs across our region.”

Ian Briggs, Director, Plus Architecture

Melbourne and Geelong

Reinforcing the leadership team in Melbourne, Candice Ng has been promoted from Principal to Director.

With fifteen years of experience at Plus Architecture, Candice has worked across all project types from mixed-use to commercial, hospitality, residential, masterplanning and student accommodation.

Candice carries exceptional architectural technical experience, project management expertise and organisational skills to the directorship, where she will play an integral role in driving the practice’s continued growth at both a strategic and operational level.

The Geelong studio has promoted Studio Lead Dominic Versace to Associate, recognising his instrumental role in expanding Plus Architecture’s regional Victorian operations.

Dominic manages projects ranging from $5m to $100m, including First Nations housing in Geelong and affordable housing initiatives across Ballarat, Shepparton, Wodonga and Benalla.

Sydney

In Sydney, Plus Architecture is celebrating its tenth year of operations. There, Gabriel Duque has been appointed Director in recognition of his contribution to the practice’s growth and success.

Co-leading the 50 plus person studio, Gabriel has built a trusted reputation for the ability to realise complex, masterplanned developments that incorporate significant levels of stakeholder input.

Gabriel has delivered landmark developments including Ed. Square Town Centre in Edmonson for Frasers Property and Uniting Bowden Brae, while spearheading major developments including Uniting Belrose and McCall Community Hub.

The Sydney studio has also promoted Euckan Chan to Associate, acknowledging his technical ability and expertise in project delivery demonstrated through key schemes including Levande Oak Grange in Brighton East and Frasers Shell Cove.

A natural mentor to younger staff in the studio, he sees staff training and development as an integral part of his role.

Brisbane and Gold Coast

Plus Architecture’s Queensland studios have further strengthened the team with five strategic appointments. With over 25 years of experience, Anthony Tai has been promoted from Associate to Principal.

Currently working across multi-residential projects Faro in Broadbeach, and Palm Shores at Palm Beach, Anthony has also been supporting the company’s expansion into the retail and mixed use sectors, including leading the design and development of The Landmark – a four tower mixed-use development in Mermaid Beach, alongside other retail precinct projects.

Paul Tseng joins as Senior Associate, bringing valuable expertise in construction detailing and a focus on balancing aesthetics, cost, and constructability as the studios expand their work across major infrastructure and mixed-use developments.

Matt Harrison, John Young and Sally Snow all advance from Senior Project Lead/Architect to Associate. With a portfolio specialising in master-planned residential developments, Matt will take on a pivotal role in strengthening the practice’s technical documentation offering and Gold Coast market position.

With 18 years of international experience, John excels in luxury design, specialising in hotels, mixed-use, and high-end residential projects. In his new role, he will drive design excellence and nurture strong client relationships to ensure exceptional outcomes.

Bringing 13 years of experience working in the UK and Australia, Sally excels in renewal projects, as she combines innovation, flexibility and human-centred design to navigate challenges throughout all project phases.

Perth

Established in 2017 and now 45-staff strong, the rapidly growing Perth studio has appointed Erin Warner as Senior Associate to lead the interior design team.

With experience working across Australia in the workplace, Government and health sectors, Erin will support the practice’s ongoing expansion into regional Western Australia across a range of community, education and government housing projects.

The announcements follow a year of success for Plus Architecture, including the completion of 40 major developments. The firm has also commenced construction on 35 new developments, and submitted 56 development applications across its ten studios in Australia and New Zealand.

Plus Architecture’s work was recognised with 21 industry awards in 2024, while strategic expansion into Geelong, Adelaide, and Hobart enhanced its ability to serve Australia’s fastest-growing regions.
