Developer Mirvac has been awarded a 5 Star Green Star rating from the Green Building Council of Australia for its LIV Anura Build to Rent development in Queensland.
LIV Anura is located three kilometres north of the Brisbane CBD in the inner-city suburb of Newstead, within the Mirvac Waterfront Masterplan development.
The scheme is set to deliver 396 apartments, including approximately 99 affordable housing units. It will encompass over 3,000 sqm of indoor and outdoor amenity for residents, including a gym, pool, spa, media room and co-working facilities.
Following the achievement, Mirvac’s LIV Anura will feature a range of sustainability initiatives including 100% renewable energy, and a comprehensive transport sharing program – cars, bikes and e-scooters.
“Mirvac has a strong sustainability track record. We’ve met our goal to be net positive in carbon emissions (scope 1 and 2) and are now working on the challenging area of scope 3 emissions, which are those created in our supply chain and by our customers. We’re also targeting zero waste to landfill by 2030. Projects like LIV Anura, which is being delivered in partnership with the Queensland Government, help set a new industry benchmark for sustainability.”

The Design & As Built v1.3 Design Review certified rating represents ‘Australian excellence’ in sustainable construction.
