Build to Rent manager HOME has launched Doggy HOME Tours – the first-ever apartment inspections designed for dogs – at the HOME Parramatta Build to Rent development, which is being delivered by Roberts Co.
After hearing from residents across the national HOME properties that pets are what make their apartment feel like home, HOME Parramatta decided to involve them with the decision of where they live.
In a market where fewer than one in six rentals welcome pets, the Doggy HOME Tours invites pets and their humans to inspect HOME Parramatta’s new pet-friendly apartments for themselves.
Road-tested by well-loved Instagram user cavoodle and HOME Parramatta’s newly appointed Pet Ambassador, the experience gives pups the opportunity to explore their new potential home.

Dogs are invited to test out the rooftop lawn, enjoy a pamper at the on-site Pet Spa, including a dog perfume sniff and spray experience by Harlow Harry, and sample one of nature’s best joint supplement chews by Dog Years.
The initiative brings real purpose for the rental market. Parramatta’s rental population and dog ownership are both booming, but finding pet-friendly housing remains a challenge: 44% of Parramatta households rent (compared to 35% across Greater Sydney, 42% of Parramatta households own a dog, yet, only one in six Sydney rentals allow pets.
The launch of HOME Parramatta highlights the suburb’s growing appeal as an in-demand rental market hub — officially recognised as Sydney’s second CBD and home to an increasingly vibrant community of residents (and their pets).
HOME has over 2,500 residents and over 300 pets across its communities in Docklands, Southbank and Richmond, VIC. The Parramatta location is its first in NSW, with a strong focus on community, elevated amenity, wellness and wagging tails!
In FY25, HOME hosted over 250 events for residents across the portfolio, many of which were pet friendly, along with a dedicated program specifically designed for pets including pet obedience tips, pet cartoonist, meet ups at local parks and pet treat sampling opportunities.
