The GQ Build to Rent platform, backed by developer GURNER™ and investment manager Qualitas, has entered into a joint venture with Malaysian developer OSK Property, to develop and operate a new Build to Rent residential tower within the Melbourne Square precinct in Southbank.
The $2.8bn Melbourne Square encompasses five towers, a 3,745 sqm public park, a full-line Woolworths, childcare and a number of retailers. It is set to deliver around 500 residences and extensive communal amenities.
OSK Property will convert one of the five towers in the Melbourne Square precinct into a Build to Rent development, with the company retaining ownership of the asset.
Designed by Cox Architecture, the GQ Build to Rent development is also set to deliver new amenity space to the existing precinct.
