Coronation celebrate grand opening of Mason & Main

Coronation has now launched its Mason & Main precinct, with Stage One being recognised as the biggest Build to Rent scheme in NSW to date.

Developer Coronation Property has officially opened the Mason & Main development in Merrylands, Western Sydney.

Designed by global architects Woods Bagot, Mason & Main comprises 849 Build to Rent and Build to Sell apartments overall with amenities and a retail and dining hub, transforming the Merrylands CBD.

The official opening on 10 May 2025 featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony with guest MC David Borger, Executive Director of Business Western Sydney, alongside Managing Director Joe Nahas, his executive team, contractors, and local representatives.

The event included guided tours of the new apartments for sale and rent, giving attendees a firsthand look at the project’s offerings.

“We’re proud that Mason & Main has re-defined modern living here in Merrylands, the heart of Western Sydney. Just a few minutes’ walk to the station, Mason & Main has brought new life to the Merrylands CBD, it’s an incredible transformation of the urban landscape.

“We’re giving both buyers and renters alike the chance to live in a new, high-quality apartment, with an amazing offering of lifestyle amenities right on their doorstep.

“Mason & Main demonstrates Coronation’s commitment to delivering a pipeline of new housing solutions in well-connected, well-serviced areas, close to major transport and infrastructure, hospitals, schools and shops. It’s a game changer for Western Sydney.”

Stage One of Mason & Main comprises 434 Build to Rent apartments, making it the largest Build to Rent development in New South Wales to date. These new homes provide essential workers, such as teachers and allied health professionals, with the opportunity to live close to their workplaces.

Stage Two, which completed last month (April 2025), comprises 415 Build to Sell apartments, catering to a wide range of residents. The precinct also includes one of Sydney’s largest gyms, Western Sydney’s first One Playground, with advanced facilities such as group training studios, private recovery suites, and a large weights and cardio area.

The precinct has already garnered significant industry recognition, earning three major awards last year – the UDIA NSW President’s Award, the UDIA Award for Excellence in Mixed Use Development and the Outstanding Housing Project category award at the Boomtown! Summit 2024.

Mason & Main represents a significant step forward in addressing housing demand in Sydney, offering modern living options alongside an elevated retail and fitness experience in the heart of Western Sydney.
