Aware Real Estate has appointed Tracey Whitby as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Board. The role was effective from 1 June 2025.
Tracey has led the business as Interim CEO for the past six months, guiding Aware Real Estate through a period of global market uncertainty with focus and strength.
Her appointment marks an exciting chapter for the company as it continues to grow its $2.5bn portfolio of Australian property assets.

During her time as Interim CEO, Tracey has demonstrated strategic leadership, a collaborative approach, and delivered solid investment performance.
She has been pivotal in refining Aware Real Estate’s investment strategy and driving long-term value for the company’s 1.2 million members.

With over 20 years of experience in senior roles across Australia’s property investment sector, Tracey was instrumental in building Aware Real Estate’s Finance and Operations platforms and previously served as CFO of Lincoln Place Lifestyle Estates.
As part of the company’s $8bn Australian property portfolio, Aware Real Estate remains committed to long-term investment partnerships, such as the one it has established with Barings, and to sectors including Build to Rent, industrial, retirement living and mixed-use.
