Apt.Residential has topped out at its Meadowbank Build to Rent development. A topping out ceremony was held on-site late last week, which was attended by Buildcorp Managing Director & Co-Founder Tony Sukkar AM, Apt.Residential’s Managing Director Matt Carolan, representatives from both businesses and key development partners.
Marking the transition from structure to final build and fit-out, the milestone brings Apt.Residential’s vision for the scheme one step closer to reality.
Located at 1–20 Railway Road on the Meadowbank peninsula, the 7,773 sqm precinct will deliver a next-generation residential and retail destination, combining seamless connectivity, elevated amenity and a fully integrated ESG approach.
“Topping out at Meadowbank is a significant milestone that reflects the strength of the partnership between Apt.Residential and Buildcorp.
“From early planning through to delivery, this project has been shaped by a genuinely collaborative approach – enabling efficient execution, strong program certainty and a high-quality outcome.
“We’re proud to be delivering a development that not only meets the demands of a complex urban environment, but also embeds sustainability and future-focused design, creating lasting value for residents and the broader Meadowbank community.”
Tony Sukkar AM, Managing Director & Co-founder, Buildcorp
The precinct includes Apt.Meadowbank, which comprises 291 Build to Rent apartments across four buildings. They sit atop Meadowbank Corner – a new retail hub anchored by a 2,500 sqm Coles Local and 16 specialty retailers spanning fresh food, dining, health and lifestyle.

With the building structure now complete, construction will progress to façade, interiors and landscaping, including a central courtyard, resident lounge, co-working spaces and communal facilities designed to extend living beyond the apartment.
“Meadowbank represents more than our first residential development – we’re creating a more flexible, community-focused way of living that is elevated and effortless and contributing to much needed rental housing supply in Sydney.
“It reflects an enormous amount of coordination, effort and commitment by the team responsible for bringing this project to life including Buildcorp, AJC Architects, Northrop, Turner & Townsend, Wilde and Woollard and Ryde Council.”
Matt Carolan, Managing Director, Apt.Residential
Positioned directly opposite Meadowbank train station and within walking distance of ferry, bus and key arterial routes, the development offers residents direct access to the Sydney CBD, Parramatta, Macquarie Park and Sydney Olympic Park.
The surrounding area also provides proximity to leading education institutions, extensive parklands and waterfront cycling networks.
The scheme is fully electric and incorporates a range of sustainability initiatives, including rooftop solar, EV charging infrastructure, centralised hot water system, energy efficient lighting, a comprehensive waste reduction strategy, targeting above benchmark Green Star 5 Star, NatHERS 5.5 Star for each sole occupancy, appliances, fixtures and fittings which are WELS 4 and 5 Star rated.
Constructed by Buildcorp, Apt.Meadowbank remains on track for completion in late 2026.
