Arm of Australian superannuation fund Aware Super – Aware Real Estate – has topped out at the Zetland Build to Rent development in Sydney. The scheme was announced in February 2024.
The milestone was commemorated on-site with a ceremony attended by the Honourable Rose Jackson, NSW Minister for Housing, and senior representatives from Aware Super, its development partner Barings, and builder Binah.

The Zetland scheme will comprise 135 apartments in a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom homes.
The $80m Build to Rent development is due for completion in February 2026 and will feature a range of amenities including a gym, co-working space, rooftop barbecue area, and communal lounge.

Located at 890–898 Bourke Street, Zetland is part of Aware Super’s broader $1.5bn commitment to residential property, with more than 2,500 apartments either operational or in the pipeline across key urban locations nationally.
