Simplicity Living’s Waiatarua BTR plans approved

Simplicity Living has stated that construction at Waiatarua is set to begin next month now that planning has has been given the go-ahead.

Simplicity Living, owned by KiwiSaver provider Simplicity has secured resource consent approval for its new Waiatarua Build to Rent development in Remuera. Construction is set to begin next month (November 2024).

Located just a seven-minute walk away from the Greenlane train station, a supermarket and the Mercy Ascot hospital, the scheme will deliver 330 new homes.

Amenities will include extensive landscaped grounds, a resident pavilion lounge and café, rooftop co-working space, and car and bike parks with electric charging units.

Simplicity Living has announced that over 7,000 native trees and plants will be planted at the development.

The Waiatarua Build to Rent development will be built to Homestar 7 standard through the utilisation of solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and a focus on minimising construction waste.

Alongside Waiatarua, Simplicity Living has also submitted a resource consent application for a 262 home Build to Rent development in Morningside. Construction could start in 2025 if planning is approved.
